Overview

This day trip to the Agafay desert offers you a relaxing day in the rocky desert with wonderful views of the snow-capped High Atlas Mountains. And even better you can gain an insight into local Berber life in Berber villages. All of this is included in this trip: an hour's camel ride, driving off-road, go for a hike in the rocky hills, visit the dam of Lalla Takerkoust. And for the mechanical sports enthusiast, it is possible to rent a quad-bike or buggies to explore this magical setting at a faster pace.

Itinerary

Day 1
We will pick you up at your hotel or riad around 5:00 p.m. to take you by minibus to the Agafay desert.

After a one-hour drive, you will enter the arid landscapes of the Atlas Mountains and arrive at the camp where you will spend an exceptional night. Once there, you will discover the luxurious khaïmas and be welcomed with tea.

You can then choose to take a camel ride in the dunes of Agafay to watch the sunset. In any case, you will enjoy the wonders of the desert.

You'll then sit around a campfire and enjoy a Moroccan-style dinner of salads, chicken tagine, vegetable couscous, and dessert. In addition, the evening will be animated by a traditional show. Belly dancing, fire-eaters, Gnawa music... An exceptional evening awaits you!

After dinner, you will return to your khaïmas to rest until the next day. Sleeping under the stars in the Agafay desert is a real privilege!

In the morning, you can watch the sunrise. After enjoying this unique moment, we will serve you a Berber breakfast at 08:00 and, after regaining strength, you will return to your accommodation in Marrakech. Arrival is scheduled for 11:00 am.
